What these eLearning case study examples have in common

These eLearning case study examples share three traits: short, focused modules built for busy professionals; media matched to the topic, such as subject matter expert video, animation, or scenarios; and results the organization could measure. Each one started with a specific problem, not a format, and the format followed from the audience.

HPNA: 1,573% utilization for palliative nursing education

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association needed to support about 8,000 healthcare professionals during a palliative care workforce shortage. The Palliative Care Basics eLearning Series uses short, scenario-based modules that clinicians can complete between shifts. HPNA reported a 1,573% increase in utilization and 90% learner satisfaction. Read the HPNA case study.

EmPRO: training 1,600+ physicians to unmask shame

EmPRO, a medical professional liability insurer, wanted to help physicians recognize and manage shame in clinical settings. We built “Unmasking Shame,” a CME-accredited course using subject matter expert video, custom animation, and scenario-based microlearning. More than 1,600 physicians completed it, with confidence rising 15 to 18 percentage points across nine competencies. Read the EmPRO case study.

OCP Academy: reaching thousands in six months

The Open Compute Project Foundation needed to make complex data center specifications accessible to a global workforce. OCP Academy turned static documentation into cinematic video and interactive diagrams. The Academy reached thousands of learners in its first six months, driven by organic community engagement rather than traditional marketing. Read the OCP Academy case study.

USA Swimming: scalable certification and club training

USA Swimming serves over 400,000 members, many of them volunteers spread across the country, and its training programs were disjointed. USA Swimming University now offers role-specific education for coaches, clubs, and officials, with live-action video, motion graphics, and interactive scenarios in a mobile-first, ADA-compliant design. Convergence: blended finance training in Articulate Rise

Convergence, the global network for blended finance, runs a lean team in Toronto with an international mandate. We built a multilingual, WCAG-compliant Articulate Rise course with motion graphics, animated video, drag-and-drop activities, and downloadable toolkits to simplify a technical topic for diplomats, public institutions, and finance partners. We Mean Business Coalition: climate action training for SMEs

The We Mean Business Coalition needed a practical starting point on climate action for small and medium-sized enterprises without sustainability staff. Through the SME Climate Hub, we co-developed four multilingual, mobile-friendly microlearning courses for entertainment sector suppliers. The program reported 900+ enrollments from 65+ countries. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Ask our team.

What should an eLearning case study include?

A useful eLearning case study includes the organization and audience, the specific training problem, the format and tools chosen and why, and measurable results such as enrollments, utilization, completion, or confidence gains. It should also say what other organizations can reuse. Our case studies follow that structure so you can compare projects side by side.

Are these case studies from real clients?

Yes. Every case study on this page is a real project Ninja Tropic produced with the named organization. Results come from what each organization reported and shared publicly in the case study videos. Where a number is not yet confirmed, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Which case study is most relevant for associations?

HPNA, USA Swimming, and OCP Academy are the closest fits for associations. HPNA shows clinical continuing education at scale, USA Swimming shows role-based certification for a large volunteer membership, and OCP Academy shows how an academy model can grow a technical community's education program organically.

Which case study is most relevant for healthcare and medical education?

HPNA and EmPRO are the strongest healthcare examples. HPNA built short, scenario-based modules for busy hospice and palliative clinicians, and EmPRO delivered a CME-accredited course that more than 1,600 physicians completed, with measurable confidence gains across nine competencies tied to communication and error recovery.
